Education

Statistics show by the end of today, 175 children in the state of Texas will suffer from abuse and neglect. We feel it is our obligation to prevent and educate community members and organizations on child abuse and neglect, and we offer several free trainings to educate, empower, and equip individuals to stand up against child abuse. We want the Concho Valley to be a safer place for children and families, and this can only happen when everyone is aware and educated on what steps they can take to protect children.

Women of Hope

Women of Hope was established in 2019 after an inspired visit from our honorary member Cecilia Abbott, First Lady of Texas. Women of Hope functions as CAC’s ambassadors for children in the Concho Valley through their determination to increase community awareness, promote child abuse prevention efforts, and financially strengthen the organization.

Throughout their first year, Women of Hope have met quarterly to show their appreciation for Phase One Donors for the CAC Capital Campaign and worked on Safe Space Projects. In addition to the support provided by the members of Women of Hope, our honorary member Cecilia Abbott, First Lady of Texas, presented Women of Hope a $5,000 contribution towards projects conducted through Women of Hope. More great things are to come from this group who care deeply about the mission of CAC.
